I found on Pinterest that wall flowers are the rage right now and was thrilled when I found this file fpr $6.99 on svgcuts.com and I could make my own for a lot less then purchasing them off of Etsy. (The large black and white photos were printed at Staples for about $3 each)
The file was cheap, I had a silhouette machine and a cutting mat but was stumped at the paper cost. Paper can be very expensive, the large flower uses 25 sheets, the medium 13 and the small flower uses 8 sheets of 12x12 paper. All in all, I needed about 150 sheets, yikes! Then I had the grand idea of using white cardstock from the local print shop and spray paint them different colors. The print shop could cut what I needed and it would be a lot cheaper then purchasing scrapbook paper. I had my plan and presented it to the bride and she didn't like it but I did it anyway.
My first step was to purchase the paper and the file, easy peasy. The second step was to begin cutting the shapes. Little did I know that the free silhouette program (which I have) will not open svg files. I had to purchase an upgrade for $30, I was bummed because I was desperately trying to keep the cost down. Oh well, maybe I will be cutting more svg files in the future.
I do not have many photos of the assembly process, but it entailed a lot of cutting, gluing, rolling, gluing and spray paint.
My sister in law saw them before the reception and said they were gorgeous and these flowers will be the talk of the reception. Everyone will want to know how I made them and want to borrow them. She was right. It was funny that at the reception many people asked me where I got the flowers. I kept responding, "Which ones? (there were several different kinds of flowers at the reception, haha)
There you go, now you have all the details to make you own. Svgcuts.com also has a very good instructional video. You need a silhouette, the $6.99 file, paper, glue gun, a little spray paint and lots of time.
Please let me know in the comments what you thought of the flowers.

Hi Stephanie, I absolutely love your flowers. I am preparing now for my daughter's reception which is coming up soon. I do have a couple of questions about printing the large photos. Is there a way to send you a private message?
