We found the perfect backdrop for this wedding, thank you Pinterest.
This was approved by the bride and groom to be and looks easy to replicate. My husband and I have been rummaging different ideas through our heads on what to build this out of, how to make it strong and sturdy and how to make it stand up. One of our dilemmas was the weather because it has been horrible this year! Rain, snow, freezing temperatures and did I mention the wind? Finally, last week we got a break and Brett built the frame and the stand and I painted it. This week, I have been playing with different ideas on how to dress it up.
I am pretty please with how the stand turned out, it was pretty cheap also. 1 1x3 and 2 shelf brackets is all it took.
I am so blessed, a dear friend had two of these gorgeous vases in her storage and offered to let me borrow them. The beautiful flowers are borrowed from Brett's sister. They are perfect.
How in the world do you dress this thing up? I have struggled with that all week. I have pink chiffon, grey chiffon, navy tulle and guess what....I don't like any of it. I do love the additional flowers and greenery I purchased.
I think (I hope) I have it all figured out. I am borrowing something special and hope it all works out and is gorgeous. Best part, the whole backdrop including the extra flowers was under $80, can't beat that! You will have to wait and see the final next week.
UPDATE: Here is a photo of the backdrop all decorated! Friends did a magnificent job on the flowers and Uncle Merlin and Travin rocked at lighting it up!
